Damien Hirst's photos are different and abstract, they make you think in ways you never would have. He forces you to look more into yourself and forces you to make your own conclusions about things.
While his photos may be a bit morbid they are also soft somehow. they make you look at how the world really is and not just how you are told it is.
FYI - Damien Hirst's work is actually sculpture and installation work mostly. Most photography used in regards to his work is a by-product.
