Ashley Lebedev
As I said before, I love portraiture. So Ashley Lebedev is right up my ally, her photos are mythical and beautiful. They are fairytale and are inspiring. Ashley Lebedev gallery

Lee Jeffries
Over this semester in Digital Photo 1 I have found the type of photography I have passion for. Profiles. I love being able to show emotion through a picture. When someone looks at my photos I want them to feel like they are in the picture, feeling the emotion and like they know the story the person has. Lee Jefferies does this in every one of his pictures.
These are both part of his "Homeless" portfolio.

Damian Hirst.
Damien Hirst's photos are different and abstract, they make you think in ways you never would have. He forces you to look more into yourself and forces you to make your own conclusions about things.
While his photos may be a bit morbid they are also soft somehow. they make you look at how the world really is and not just how you are told it is.

Alessandro Rocchi
I was drawn to Alessandro Rocchi's pictures from the beginning. He utilises line and shape a lot; as well as using the rule of thirds to make his pictures pop. He gets his point across form the moment you look at one of his photographs, but at the same time the longer you look at one, the more meaning comes from it. He has a way of photographing that creates unity automatically.
Nicholas Samaras.
Nicholas Samaras is a new up and coming underwater photographer. All of his pictures have some sort of amazing draw that just makes you want to stare at them. And he has such a variety of subjects that he photographs. The patterns that he finds in the ocean are simply wonderful. The shapes and lines that he is able to find and portray catch your eye immediately and make you keep looking.

Tom Chambers
Tom Chambers is a newer photographer but he certainly knows what hes doing. in his collection, Illumination, he has religious aspects morphing into something unexplainable. His photos are inspiring while being dark.

Alex Stoddard
Alex Stoddard is one of My Modern Metropolis's Top 10 Artists of 2011. The second you look at one of his photographs you know why. Alex Stoddard uses creative style and a unique way of photographing to not only to capture emotion but to also to make you feel exactly what the subject is feeling.

So i don't really blog a lot so i figured i should try it out while I'm sitting in class doing nothing. So far this Photography class rocks. I just want to try to change the way people look at the world. I want them to see it how i see it, if only for a split second. There is so much beauty in the world and we should all take the time to see it. And I'm not just talking about nature like some hippie. Everything is beautiful, including buildings and trash. and i haven't always thought this way but a big even happened in my life and i realized we don't have much time on this earth so we have to make the best of every minute of every day.

The Wade Brothers.
The wade Brothers are Lindsey and Lyndon. They are a photography team that have recently been photographing for major company's like Gatorade. But they have their own project, Room 107. Their photos are all very interesting. they are taken in a different way, more abstract and focusing on color and the shadows in those colors. They are all very simple and draw your eye exactly to what they want you to look at. The thing I love about their photos is that, especially in their personal project, their photos tell a story, every part of every photo is making up a story.

Larry Zox's paintings are pure simplicity but they each have a little something off about them. Always a line or two out of place slightly, but just enough that the onlooker is drawn in to these imperfections. I think that these lines out of place make his simple paintings beautiful.

Ryan Mosley's art is different to say the least. It is filled with limbs all over the place and with figures that each have their own unique look. I love how the figures in his paintings all seem to be happy, even though you can not see any faces. His process is the most interesting thing about his paintings, he doesn't set out with a full painting in mind. He starts with an idea for a bent leg leaning on something and adds to it what looks right. He will paint over things in his painting until he is satisfied. So the paintings we see are not what the beginning project looked like at all.
